Report on National Hearing on Unfair Discrimination in the Workplace – South Africa

The South African Human Rights Commission hosted a national hearing on unfair discrimination in the workplace between March and April 2016. This report highlighted that unfair discrimination in the workplace remains pervasive in South Africa, and documented a number of findings relating to barriers of entry as well as discriminatory practices in the workplace itself.

The South African Human Rights Commission published a research brief aimed at addressing the state of the equality of rights of women in South Africa, and to a more limited extent, that of the LGBTI community.
